10 years of patient care with QuestManager at Dimence Group
- Organization: Dimence Group
- Mental health care (GGZ)
- Implemented solution: QuestManager
Issue
At Dimence Groep, a mental health and well-being mental health organization in the eastern Netherlands, QuestManager is used for various purposes. Examples include ROM (Routine Outcome Monitoring), research and diagnostics. The Dimence Groep has been using QuestManager for more than 10 years for more than 100,000 clients. Erik de Groot (Senior Staff Advisor Development and Innovation) and René Rust (Head of Digitalization) of Dimence Groep talk about their experiences with QuestManager and how it contributes to the quality of care.
ROM & Data Analysis
QuestManager supports the ROM process by providing measuring instruments periodically and in a timely manner. The outcomes are discussed by the practitioner, together with the client (and their relatives). In addition, the data collected through QuestManager is used for data analysis and possibly for scientific research.
Flexible and Reliable
QuestManager is proving to be a valuable tool for Dimence Groep due to its stability, flexibility and reliability. The application supports various purposes: from diagnostics and treatment monitoring (ROM) to scientific research. Teams within Dimence Groep experience the benefits of QuestManager on a daily basis. An example of QuestManager's flexibility is the ability to develop or adapt questionnaires to the specific needs of the target group, treatment or research. This allows Dimence Groep to respond to new developments and innovations in the mental health sector, such as recovery-oriented work, risk assessment and digital treatment.
Good possibilities of technical integrations
An important advantage is the possibility of integration with other systems. Care providers have direct access to relevant questionnaires, results and reports via the Electronic Patient Dossier (EPD). For clients, Dimence Groep has integrated QM into the client journey and client portal. In the client portal, Dimence Groep offers the client access to the medical record. The client can also access the Questmanager questionnaires that need to be completed during the treatment process. Once the client has completed the questionnaire(s), they see the results in a client report so they can get feedback on how they are doing.
This integration between the EHR, QuestManager and the client portal is made possible by QuestManager's extensive linking capabilities (FHIR, APIs). The timely preparation of new questionnaires in the treatment process is also automated. The practitioner does not have to think about this himself. This reduces the administrative burden and also ensures that questionnaires are completed in a timely manner.
Own questionnaires
Another advantage is that QuestManager offers the possibility to develop or adapt questionnaires to the specific needs of the target group, treatment or research.
Thubble: A Success Story
An example of a successful application of QuestManager is Thubble, Dimence Groep's digital treatment service. Thubble offers online treatment for various psychological complaints, with the client helping to determine the pace and intensity. Thubble makes intensive use of QuestManager to administer ROM questionnaires, which are an essential part of the treatment.
Future vision
'It is nice that Lighthouse has a clear vision for the continued development of QuestManager. New versions and new technologies are important,' Erik and René indicate. 'The product must keep up with the times and we see this reflected in Lighthouse. The cooperation is low-threshold and we can communicate easily. It is nice to have contact with each other about the desired developments'.
Tips for other institutions
To new organizations that are still looking for a digital tool for conducting questionnaires and/or measuring instruments, Erik and René would give the following advice:
- Take stock of your wishes and needs and make a clear plan. The advantage of QuestManager is that it is widely applicable for multiple purposes and user groups. Get out what's in it.
- Consider whether you want to build the questionnaires yourself or outsource.
- Research what integration needs there are, for example to the EPR, a data warehouse or in the area of exchanging information with clients.
